Common Problems And Treatment Of Stainless Steel Ball Bearings

Time:2019.12.10  Source:Roller Bearings Suppliers

In the process of numerical control processing, I often encounter some common problems of stainless steel ball bearings, such as bearing heating, shaft heating, and so on. When we encounter these problems, how do we solve them? We provide some common issues. Helpful to everyone.

(1) The bearing is hot.

1. If the bearing lubricant is insufficient, add oil and check whether the oil circuit is smooth;

2. If there are impurities in the lubricating oil, clean the bearings, replace with new oil, and clean the filters;

3. If the assembly is reduced, the journal and the stainless steel bearing are skewed, and there is an eccentric load, a gasket can be added to the bottom of the bearing seat;

4. If the bearing clearance is too small, the closed cooling tower manufacturer should readjust the clearance.

(2) The shaft is hot.

1. If the oil or rubber seal on the shaft is too tight, adjust the position of the back cover of the packing;

2. If there is radial friction between the shaft and the stainless steel bearing cover, check and adjust the radial clearance between the shaft and the bearing cover, which is generally 0.25 ~ 0.3mm.

(3) The amount of oil on the main friction surface is small.

1. If the oil pipe is blocked and the oil groove is shallow, clean the pipeline and deepen the oil groove;

2. If the oil temperature is low and the fluidity is reduced, the lubricant should be replaced according to the ambient temperature;

3. If the oil ring rotates slowly and the oil splashes badly, check whether the oil ring falls off or rubs. If the oil level is very high, oil can be drained to the standard height.

4. If the adjustment gasket blocks the lubricant, check the position of the adjustment gasket.

(4) Oil leakage.

1. If the amount of oil is large, the oil supply should be adjusted to maintain the standard height of the oil level;

2. If the sealing device fails, tighten the gland, thicken the felt ring or replace the sealing material;

3. If the bearing seat has holes or oil leakage, the bearing seat should be replaced, or the air holes should be blocked by lead filling.

(5) Axial runout.

1. If the bearing clearance is too large, the gasket should be removed and adjusted;

2. If the dynamic balance of the rotating body (gear, belt wheel, etc.) is not right, check and improve the dynamic balance;

3. If the bearing is not stable, the bearing seat bolt should be tightened;

4. If the coupling installation offset is large, a gasket should be added to the ground of the bearing seat to adjust the coupling installation accuracy.

Stainless Steel Ball Bearings

The leading causes of stainless steel ball-bearing fracture failure are defects and overload. When the applied load exceed the strength limit of the material and the part breaks, it is called overload fracture. The main reason for overload is sudden host failure or improper installation. Defects such as micro-cracks, shrinkage holes, air bubbles, large foreign objects, overheated tissues, and local burns of bearing parts can also cause fractures at the defects during shock overload or severe vibration, called defect fractures. It should be noted that during the manufacturing process of the bearing, the initial inspection of raw materials, forging and heat treatment quality control, and process control can be used to analyze the existence of the above defects through instruments correctly. In the future, power must be enhanced. But generally speaking, most of the stainless steel ball bearing fracture failures are overload failures.
