Rolling body guide:

When the bearing is running, the bearing cage may collide with the outer ring of the bearing so as to correct the position of the cage.
The outer ring is used for high speed and stable load. Take cylindrical roller bearing for example, it only bears a fixed value of axial load. When rotating, the rotating speed of each rolling body changes little, and the rotation of the cage is not unbalanced.
Inner ring guide:
The inner ring is generally a rotating ring, and in the rotation of the rolling body to drag torque, if the bearing load is unstable, or light load, there will be skid.
The cage with internal guide, the guide surface of the cage formed an oil film, because of the friction of the oil film in the non-load area ring to the cage to drag power to increase the cage on the rolling body additional driving torque, and can prevent skid.
