Thrust spherical roller bearings are the same as spherical roller bearings. The raceway surface of the race is a spherical surface centered on the same point as the central axis of the bearing. The axial load capacity of thrust spherical roller bearings is very large. While bearing axial loads, it can also withstand several radial loads, but the radial load must not exceed 55% of the axial load.Thrust tapered roller bearings can only bear one-way axial load and can limit the one-way axial displacement of the bearing, so they can be used as one-way axial positioning. Compared with thrust cylindrical roller bearings, the bearing capacity is large and the relative sliding is small, but the limit speed is low.

1.The outer ring of the spherical roller bearing and the housing hole of the bearing housing should not be used with interference fit, and the fit between the inner ring and the journal should not be too tight.It is required that the use of nuts during installation should be able to produce a more flexible axial displacement.If the spherical roller bearing adopts interference fit, it is easy to change the contact angle of the bearing.The uneven load distribution of the bearing causes a high temperature rise.Therefore, the inner and outer rings of this type of bearing are fitted with the journal and the housing hole of the bearing housing. Generally, it is best to use the thumb of both hands to push the bearing into the journal and the hole of the housing.


2.For the axial clearance of the
spherical roller bearing installation, the adjustment nut on the journal, the adjustment washer and the thread in the bearing housing hole, or the preload spring and other methods can be used for adjustment.The size of the axial clearance depends on the arrangement of the bearing installation, the distance between the bearings, and the material of the shaft and the bearing seat, which can be determined according to the working conditions.For spherical roller bearings with high load and high speed, when adjusting the clearance, the effect of temperature rise on the axial clearance must be considered, and the amount of clearance reduction caused by temperature rise must be estimated.In other words, the axial clearance should be properly adjusted to be larger. For bearings with low speed and vibration, it should be installed without clearance or pre-loaded.The purpose is to make the rollers and raceways of spherical roller bearings have good contact, the load is evenly distributed, and to prevent the rollers and raceways from being damaged by vibration and shock.After adjustment, the size of the axial clearance is checked with a dial indicator. The method is to first fix the dial indicator on the fuselage or bearing seat, make the dial indicator contact the smooth surface of the shaft, push the shaft left and right along the axial direction, and the maximum swing of the dial needle is the axial clearance value.
